Lisa "Bad News" Brown was born in Trinidad and now resides in Toronto, Canada. This versatile fighter competes in three different weight classes: 118, 122, and 126 pounds. Following an amateur career of 26-6, Lisa’s professional debut came in May 5, 2000. Her interest in boxing was influenced by the 1996 Christy Martin/Deidre Gogarty fight, and she was further encouraged by her husband and trainer, Errol Brown, himself a former Canadian light middleweight contender. Since her pro debut, Lisa has proved she will and can fight anywhere at any time, facing fighters all over the world, from Canada, to Australia, Bermuda and all over the United States.

Lisa says she earned her nickname “Bad News” by “beating fighters in their hometowns and leaving them with a little bad news.”
