Åsa Sandell “The Swedish Sensation”

Åsa Sandell is a Swedish National Amateur champion with a 21-1 record and the 2000 European Champion as well.  In addition to her boxing career, Åsa holds degrees in Literature and Journalism and works as an editor at the Culture Department of the Swedish newspaper ‘Helsingsborgs Dagblad.’  She trains in Malmö Sweden at the Winning BoxingClub with Bert V. Johansson, and during her stateside travels her coach is Lennox Blackmore.  Having fought three times in 2005, Åsa is looking forward to returning to the United States in the early fall of 2005. This tough and tactical fighter has the skills in her arsenal to put her on track for fights with the cream of the crop of women’s boxing, including Ann Wolfe and Laila Ali.
